Each year, the students pick the best 6 or 7 female kids of a kid crop of 20-30 kids to raise as replacement does. Kids are chosen on a basis of best Average Daily Gain, conformation, teat structure, pigmentation, and pedigree.
Our herd has been part of the USDA Scrapie Eradication Program since 1997. We proud to state that our herd is CL and CAE free.
