Meet Our Kids

Each year, the students pick the best 6 or 7 female kids of a kid crop of 20-30 kids to raise as replacement does. Kids are chosen on a basis of best Average Daily Gain, conformation, teat structure, pigmentation, and pedigree.

Our herd has been part of the USDA Scrapie Eradication Program since 1997. We proud to state that our herd is CL and CAE free.

Brandy was born in February 2015 and will be bred in the fall of 2016.  She is a very unique paint kid with brown “slippers” on her feet.
