Class of 2020 Commencement to be Celebrated Sunday, November 7, 2021

The University of Massachusetts Amherst is excited to welcome back the Class of 2020 for a special Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Mullins Center.

Graduates and guests can reserve their tickets here! There is a limit of four guests per graduate. Based on the number of registrations, we may be able to offer additional tickets. This ceremony recognizes undergraduates who earned their degrees as part of the Class of 2020. We ask that all participating graduates enter through the North West lower entrance of the Mullins Center by 10:00 a.m. Don't forget your cap and gown. If you did not receive your cap and gown in May of 2020, please email commencement [at] umass.edu (commencement)commencement [at] umass.edu (@umass.edu) to request one. Once in Mullins, you will pick up your commemorative medallion, and line up for the procession. Please follow instructions provided by Commencement staff and volunteers to ensure a safe and successful celebration for all graduates and guests. Reserve Tickets

PUBLIC HEALTH GUIDANCE FOR GRADUATES AND GUESTS

  • Face masks must be worn at all times inside the Mullins Center, regardless of vaccination status.
  • Patrons under the age of 12, who cannot be vaccinated, must wear a mask at all times.

Upon entry, you may be asked to present: 

  • Proof of full vaccination for COVID-19.
  • Any individuals who are not fully vaccinated, or cannot locate their vaccination record, may instead produce a negative COVID-19 test (PCR) with the negative test result and collection date and time stamp within 72 hours of the event.
  • A matching photo identification card with the same name as the COVID-19 vaccination card.  (License, School ID, Passport, etc).

Guests unable to provide requested documentation may not be able to enter the Mullins Center.

SECURITY POLICY

Please be aware of security measures in place to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. 

All guests and graduates will be required to walk through metal detectors when entering the venue. To expedite the process, we ask guests remove cell phones from their pockets and encourage patrons to avoid bringing bags into the facility. Purses, diaper bags, and other small personal bags are allowed but will be inspected at all entrances. Outside food or beverages, weapons of any kind, and tobacco products are not permitted inside the arena.  

Graduates are not allowed bags larger than a clutch.
