Director of Veterinary Technology Program - NTT

The Director, who will be a veterinarian, will help launch an innovative program that incorporates comprehensive information in the basic sciences and clinical methods complemented with hands-on experience in large and small animals, research animal models, and experience in veterinary practice management.

The appointment will be in the Department of Veterinary and Animal Sciences in the College of Natural Sciences in Amherst, MA.  The Department has a strong commitment to Veterinary and Biomedical Research and to Veterinary and Animal Science undergraduate and graduate education. It is housed in modern research facilities, has an interactive faculty with strengths in immunology, reproduction and development, and environmental toxicology, has excellent core facilities, and is well-integrated into the University of Massachusetts life sciences research community. There are University owned farms with working-herds of sheep, goats, cattle and horses available for teaching and research. The Newton campus has a state-of-the-art building dedicated exclusively to the Veterinary Technology program that includes, among other facilities, lecture and clinical classrooms, surgical suites and animal housing rooms.
