ANIML SCI 382 - Small Animal Nursing

An overview of small animal nursing skills and technical procedures commonly performed by veterinary technicians and veterinary assistants in a private practice setting with a focus on the canine and feline patient. Topics include an introduction to the types of veterinary practices, veterinary medical records, patient medical history and physical exam, restraint and handling, preventative health programs, sampling and diagnostics techniques, medical and surgical nursing, veterinary dentistry, and emergency and critical care.
