Kaitlyn Carberry

Kaitlyn is a third-year undergraduate student and a member of the Commonwealth Honors
College. At UMass, she is pursuing a B.S. in Pre-Veterinary Sciences, as well as a minor in
Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. After graduation, Kaitlyn plans to attend veterinary school
and was accepted to the Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine BS/DVM
Early Acceptance Program. At UMass, Kaitlyn has enjoyed gaining a wide variety of hands-on
experiences in animal management courses and assuming leadership roles in the UMass
Pre-Vet and Animal Science Club.

Kaitlyn became involved in the Canine Mammary Tumor Research Project at the start of her
sophomore year as a member of Dr. Arcaro‘s class. In the upcoming semesters, Kaitlyn looks
forward to participating in outreach efforts with veterinary clinics and hopes to contribute to
the further development and characterization of a canine mammary tumor cell line.
