Jasmine is an undergraduate student in her second year at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She is a biology major in the College of Natural Sciences and a member of Biotap in the Commonwealth Honors College. She is interested in learning about the different pathways that species use to respond to pesticides and the plausible applications on the human body. Jasmine plans to go on to medical school after graduation. In Dr. Clark’s lab, she will begin with investigating Drosophila melanogaster and its effects in response to pesticides and pathways regarding insulin resistance, obesity and type 2 diabetes.
