Jake Zina is a research assistant in the Clark Lab. He helps to maintain the head lice, body lice, and bed bug colonies. He is assisting lab personnel with ongoing lice research and work-for hire projects. He earned his undergraduate degree in Biology in 2017. His main project will be to understand the toxicant disruption of receptor-mediated endocytosis in oogenesis and later life metabolic dysfunction in Drosophila melanogaster. He has been a member of the Clark Lab for 3 years and will start his Masters in Molecular and Cellular Biology in the Spring of 2018.
