Aline graduated from the University of Grande ABC, Brazil, with a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences. She obtained her Master’s degree in Microbiology from the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil and PhD degree in Biotechnology from the University of Sao Paulo/Butantan Institute, Brazil. Aline is a postdoctoral research fellow at Butantan Institute, where she works with Leptospira/leptospirosis. Currently, Aline’s research in the Baldwin lab focuses on the identification of leptospiral antigens recognized by gamma/delta T cells as target for development of next generation vaccines.
