Dipika is a Graduate Student in the Animal Biotechnology and Biomedical Sciences (ABBS) Program working with Ashish Kulkarni, Ph.D. in the Chemical Engineering Department. Dipika completed her Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology with integrated Master’s degree in Business Administration from Graphic Era University, Dehradun in 2014. Further, she worked as a Project Junior Research Fellow in Tier II UNESCO affiliated DBT Govt of India Institute, Regional Centre for Biotechnology, Faridabad till March 2016 where she worked on Pathophysiology of Thrombocytopenia in Dengue Infection and Effects of Haemolysis on megakaryopoesis and thrombopoesis in haemolytic disease conditions. She also worked on binding of WC1-domains (PRR/Co-receptor of gamma delta T-cells) with Mycobacterium bovis Ag. and the role of DMBT1 in breast cancer before she joined the Kulkarni. Currently, she is interested in Cancer Immunotherapeutics and Immunotheranostics. Outside lab, she enjoys cooking, driving, sketching, and spending time with family and friends.
