Darya Tourzani, BS ’16, PhD ’23 has been awarded a two year Training Fellowship through the Biotechnology Training Program of the National Institute of Health. Darya is researching methods to improve male infertility in the Visconti lab. The National Institute of Health’s UMass Biotechnology Training Program is designed to educate students in the fundamentals of quantitative biotechnology, train students to appreciate the impact of biotechnology commercially through a tailored industrial internship and regular interactions with industrial personnel, and provide students with opportunities to improve interdisciplinary communication, expand career opportunities, and sharpen professional skills.
