Chelsey Mullen

Chelsey Mullen graduated in May of 2016 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-Veterinary Science. She was a member of the Commonwealth Honors College, and a teaching assistant for the Belted Galloway Management and Animal Science 101 classes. Chelsey works in Dr. Kathleen Arcaro’s breast cancer research laboratory. In the spring of 2015 Chelsey presented a poster at the Northeastern Breast Cancer Symposium depicting novel DNA isolation methods from FFPE breast tissue. Outside of UMass, Chelsey has worked in veterinary offices, and has volunteered at a predator park in South Africa. Her veterinary interest is focused on both small and large animals. She will attend Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in the fall of 2016 following her sophomore year acceptance into Tufts Bachelors/DVM Early Acceptance Program in 2014.
