Research Assistant II - Boston Children’s Hospital - Experience performing animal studies is required. A background in cell culture, tissue engineering, polymer chemistry, or molecular biology is preferred. The Anderson lab research focuses on the interface of biomaterials science, biotechnology & therapeutics. A qualified candidate will help with performing animal studies in rodents. Implantation of cell-encapsulating devices, taking blood glucose & c-peptide measurements, explantation of devices, whole-animal imaging, histology, fluorescent staining, confocal imaging, FACS analysis, & device fabrication. Candidate would also maintain daily logs/basic records of methodologies & test results. With supervision, may summarize data & interpret results using descriptive statistics & basic hypothesis testing.

Genetic Testing Services Analyst - The Holstein Association USA, Inc. is looking for a talented professional to provide support to the Association’s genomic and genetic testing programs. As a member of the Holstein Genetic Services team, the successful candidate will support the Association’s genomic & genetic testing programs by interpreting DNA genotypes, Council on Dairy Cattle Breeder (CDCB) data, and lab reports to arrive at decisions for correcting parentage of animals; analyze problem cases; communicate with breeders, owners and laboratory staff to answer questions and resolve issues; assist with ordering genomic and genetic testing materials and results distribution; support department software programs and products; and assist with additional staff training, as required.

The primary focus of this position is that of an animal technician supporting all in vivo, small animal medical imaging studies. These studies include nuclear medicine (PET/SPECT), computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The In Vivo Research Technician will maintain the animal facility and provide study support in mouse and rat disease models ranging from basic injections to training on surgical procedures. This position will provide an opportunity for growth in regards to scope and capabilities.
