Sturgeon and Arcaro to Conduct Pilot Study of how Chemicals affect Breast Density

Epidemiologist, Susan Sturgeon, of the Biostatistics and Epidemiology Department, and breast cancer researcher, Kathleen Arcaro,  of the Veterinary and Animal Sciences Department, will team up on a one-year pilot study of bisphenol A (BPA), phthalate and related compound levels and effects on breast density around the time a woman is breast-feeding her first child. The study is funded by a $300,000 grant from the National Institutes of Health.   Read more »
