Hannah Kim is an undergraduate senior who is graduating fall 2015 as a Pre-veterinary science major and biochemistry minor. She has been performing research in Dr. Petersen’s lab since her sophomore year. She is completing her honors thesis this semester focusing on progesterone’s neuroprotective effects and the genes involved after ischemic stroke injury using a oxygen-glucose deprivation model of mouse hippocampal cells. Hannah is aspiring to become a small animal or wildlife veterinarian.
