Eva Browne is a research technician in Dr. Kathleen Arcaro’s lab. She was hired to work on DOD-funded project comparing DNA methylation patterns in breast epithelial cells of women who had a breast biopsy compared to women who had not had a biopsy. She has continued working in Dr. Arcaro’s lab on projects ranging from analyzing cytokines in breast milk to comparing methylation patterns in recurrent breast cancer. She is currently working on a project to determine if five specific methylation marks in white blood cells can be used as biomarkers for breast cancer risk. In her free time she enjoys gardening, cooking, and hanging out with her husband and dog.
